Smyła's work encompasses a broad range of creative services, including film production, directing, editorial work, and post-production. Edward has collaborated with notable clients such as TVN, CNBC World, KGHM, Holiday Inn, WFDiF, and Muzeum Krakowa. His portfolio reflects a commitment to high-quality storytelling through various visual mediums.
In addition to his commercial work, Smyła is involved in educational initiatives. He has partnered with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Poland to organize workshops aimed at training emerging filmmakers. These workshops focus on practical filmmaking skills, including scriptwriting, shooting, and editing, providing participants with hands-on experience in creating impactful visual narratives.
Over the last 16 years, I have been learning the intricacies of the language of filmmaking: scripts, screenwriting, lighting, photography, camera movement, set design, colour palettes, directing, editing and post-production. I was a TV producer and a team leader at the biggest Polish private broadcaster, TVN (5-year contract). I supervised and coordinated teams to deliver weekly programmes.
Since 2012, I have been working as an independent filmmaker, photographer and visual creator. (ES).
